Teriyaki Chicken Wings

Ingredients

For the chicken wings

  • 1.5-2 kg chicken wings, split at the joints
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper

For the Teriyaki sauce

  • 4 tbsp barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

For garnish

  • Fresh chives, finely chopped

Method

1. Prepare the wings

Wash and pat dry the chicken wings. Separate them at the joints and season with salt and pepper.

2. Fry the wings

Heat the olive oil in a deep frying pan or fryer. Fry the wings for approximately 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.

Transfer them to paper towels to remove excess oil.

3. Make the sauce

In a bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and slightly thick.

4. Coat the wings

Place the hot wings in a large bowl and pour the sauce over them. Toss well until evenly coated.

5. Serve

Arrange the wings on a serving platter and garnish with finely chopped chives.

Serve with French fries, coleslaw, or a refreshing yogurt dip for a complete meal.
